Ecuadorpresident to visit Iran soon

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday that Ecuador's President Rafael Correa Delgado is to arrive in Tehran in the next few days as his first visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he added that expansion of economic relations would top the agenda of talks to be held between President Delgado and the senior Iranian officials.
Meanwhile, Qashqavi said that Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bolat Nurgaliyev is also to pay a visit to Tehran in the coming days.
Nurgaliyev is to meet Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and is due to deliver a speech at the Foreign Ministry's Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) on major regional developments, he added.
Kazakh foreign ministerr will also come to Tehran next week, he said.
